It definately feels like it’s been a long time since a decent Farmhouse Ale came along and thankfully this Saison is a real good one. Marrickville, NSW brewer Sauce Brewing released their third beer, Saucy Saison back in 2016, following a public vote on which style of beer they should release next. It’s a French/Belgian style Saison which is yeast driven, contains both new world and noble hops.
It has a peppery, yeasty odour whilst to taste it’s more citrus with a dry finish. While it’s a delicious brew, the 6% ABV might make you hold off sinking too many in one sitting.
I’m thoroughly glad to have had the opportunity to try Saucy Saison and can’t wait for Sauce to release more.
