Red Duck has it’s origin’s on the shores of Lake Purrumbete back in 2005. It was formed on the basis that everyday Australian beer lovers needed more choice and quality beers adorning the shelves of shops and in pubs. Scott and Vanessa Wilson-Browne, who are Red Duck have always brewed natural beers so its customers can enjoy purity and freshness in every single sip. In 2009 they grabbed the opportunity to up sticks and move the brewery to Ballarat.
Their latest release of Hammerhead IPA has come out bigger and bolder than ever before. A trio of hops, Calypso, Simcoe and Chinook along with some organic pineapple extract give it an IBU of 68. The Hammerhead shark looks mighty bold and scary, much like someone describing this beer to you. In reality, both the shark and the beer are more intriguing than a threat to anyone.
Don’t be afraid, give Hammerhead IPA a try!
